I’m a freelance writer and editor with 8 years experience in helping governments, nonprofits, and international businesses improve the clarity and power of their message. My words have starred in congressional hearings, been quoted in the national media, and helped win multimillion dollar proposals. My expertise includes web copy, annual and technical reports, proposals and grants, speeches, and promotional materials.
I’ve been trained as a professional editor, and I’ve taught writing courses both at the university level and to seasoned professionals on how critical thinking and clear prose can strengthen your impact. I hold an M.A. in English from Indiana University and a B.A. from Pomona College.
Currently based in Washington, DC, but globally minded, I work with businesses and organizations worldwide.
Also, in summer 2014, I wrote about elephants and bicycles on my fundraising blog, Biking for Elephants.
